Booty Butt Checks! (if you watch boondocks you get it)

Everyone had their own indulge and mine happens to be the very controversial cartoon entitled "Boondocks". I'm sorry, but the cartoon is absolutely hilarious and extremely offensive at the same time. It originated as an actual comic strip like the ones seen in newspapers and marvel comic books. Its in its second season now and it comes on Adult Swim at 10:30 pm on Mondays, in case anyone wants to catch an episode! Anyway the cartoon seems to kinda make fun of all the stereotypes of hip hop and the rap industry. The title of this post is the name of one of the music videos that the show made up. Anyway the latest episode of the cartoon was called the Attack of the Katrineans, and to no surprise it was offensive, but to a certain extent it was truthful. Its about a Grandfather who is raising his two young grand kids, Huey and Riley, because their parents died. When their parents died, grandpa received an inheritance and bought the three a house in a predominately white neighborhood. Then the series continues with the two boys adjusting to their new surroundings. I made this blog/post about this series because everyone is allowed on indulgence and this one is mine. I kinda didn't like the Katrina episode, but it just made me aware of how some people felt about the displaced New Orleaneans, like myself. But I also realize that these lines that were written for the cartoon were written for a reason, and said to bring attention to the way people really felt after Katrina!
I'm off my soap box now, so you guys bee cool!

Posts, Posts, Posts

I am still behind as you all can see, but I will perservere, even if it is too late!
Posts...Posts...Posts...
Anyway I really did enjoy this class and everyone in it, especially when the debates became a little heated! I sorry! What can I say, but I'm a sucker for heated discussions. I really love when you can have them on a scholarly level and when its all over everyone just gets up and leaves. I LOVE IT!!!!! The reason I love college so much is because you are surrounded by people who want to learn and have a thurst for knowledge (at least most of the time you are). This is also why I would like to teach on a collegant level after I finish here at UNT!
Well, gotta run... I have a few more blogs to do !
Holla!
